How To Upgrade The Raspberry Pi Zero

Posted on

Hey Thrifty Nation!

In this video I am going to show you how to update your raspberry pi zero

first launch terminal

then start by typing sudo apt-get update

this will update your list of repositories, a repository is a collection of software for linux distributions… like raspbian or ubuntu.

Next we are going to run  sudo apt-get upgrade

This will find any updates that are available to packages on your pi and allow you to upgrade them by pressing the Y key for yes

once that is finished, we want to run the command sudo apt-get autoremove  This will free up space on your raspberry pi from packages that are no longer used
